Tefco Piping Systems were engaged to provide a tailored solution for emergency overflow management at a sewerage station in South-East Tasmania. The project required durable and efficient storage capacity, ensuring the system could handle peak flow conditions while maintaining environmental compliance.
Incorporating inbuilt, 360deg stainless steel tank washers, these Corrutanks can be cleaned, ready for maintenance with the flick of a switch.
To meet the project’s requirements, 1600mm Ø Corrutanks were custom fabricated, with a total length of 116 meters equalling over 230KL. Corrutanks, which are made from high density polyethylene, were chosen due to their superior corrosion resistance, lightweight construction, and ease of installation compared to traditional materials.
Each section was precisely fabricated in house to ensure seamless integration onsite. The modular design allowed for efficient transportation, minimising downtime, and ensuring a cost effective installation process.
The installation of 116 meters of Corrutanks successfully enhanced the sewerage station’s emergency overflow capacity, providing a long term, low maintenance solution.
